Dear Mr. Loughnan,
You may want to drop a copy of this to TCR "Traditional Catholic Reflections" edited by
Stpehen Hand, at geocities.
A fine article. Yes, we should give the Pope every benefit of the doubt. We would give
our own natural father as much; why not our spiritual father?
Sincerely,
Bro Alexis Bugnolo

My, what a lot of work you put into this! Brilliant ! Is the letter from Margaret (O'Hearn)? She
is on my list also. I am tempted to join the sspx@onelist.com. This was truly great. Very
very great job. Yesterday Dennis and I received the February issue of the ANGELUS mag.
Most the magazine is dedicated to attacking the internet...

Thanks for the info. Will need time to digest it. Why have the accusations of papal
impropriety (!) been raised now, 15 years after the supposed event? I despair of the
adherents of SSPX ever turning their back on the organization and seeing the light.
Couldn't agree more. Congratulations!

Here is a link about the "mark of Shiva" thing: Priestess of Shiva?
Semi naked Mass in New Guinea? First off, if in a culture like that in Papua, many of the
indigenous native women go topless as part of their daily life. Many still live in straw huts.
People hunt for food with bows and arrows. All go barefooted. (You have seen similar
pictures in National Geographic?) To criticize the Pope for not forcing every participant
to dress up in western attire that meets our criteria is ridiculous. It shows the ignorance
of those criticizing about what New Guinea is like.
Just for a point of reference, here are a couple Protestant New Guinea missionaries' pages
so that you can get a feel of what the culture is like there:

"Your article was very interesting. The Mark of Shiva slander is incredibly ridiculous, and
I have been trying to stamp it out ever since I went to India in 1996 and received
something like the Tilak at a school in a slum I was helping to rebuild from one of the
schoolgirls. It was just about as far from any Pagan worship as you could get - it was
simply a form of greeting. Real Pagan worship was seen somewhat later on another day
just outside the slum. A procession of these depraved pagans was passing by with all
the shouting, crying out, and whirling dances that one might expect from idolators when
confronted with their idol. These sort of slanders can only come about from those
westerners who are simply in the grossest ignorance of other cultures.

Thanks for the article, I enjoyed it.
It is sad many believers in Christ are quick to slander one another, falsely.
You have reminded me to be careful about what I accept as true. Often when one hears the
opposition one finds they truely are following what their conscience as dictated they do. That
is what we all must do.
peace and again feel free to post that at my site.
